Yes, or at least you certainly used to be able to do this - haven't tried for a while. Assuming you mean the standard SD remote (not the Controller part of the Duet), just locate the relevant song, artist or genre and click the plus button to add it to the current "now playing" playlist. Then make sure you are in "now playing" by pressing the "Now Playing" button.
