SoftSqueeze is no longer in development, so this is not going to happen. I believe it is open source, so anyone can take it up if they want to...
SqueezePlay is the new software player. It's much lighter than SS (written in lua as opposed to Java) so it may actually be easier to have it run on lower-power mobile devices.
