Might be worth a ferret around in the network properties for the network device used on the PC (wireless or wired). You could make sure File and Printer sharing is on, 'though that shouldn't affect the SB. You must have TCP/IP enabled, or you wouldn't be getting an IP and seeing the internet.
Might also be worth turning of the Mac for a while, see if that makes any difference. Are the Mac and the PC in the same workgroup?
