The albums wouldn't necessarily fall under the same genre. There's bit of breakbeat, a bit of 80s electro-pop, at least 1 drum and bass compilation etc.
Having a genre tags for each album means that I could more easily find the album and play all tracks (not shuffled) from any given album. I've been fairly strict with the genres, so don't have all that many. It'd be easier to find the mix albums via genre by just looking down the list - rather than trying to remember the album title an navigating directly that way. I'm thinking along the lines of an genre tag like "Mix - History Of Breaks" or something; e.g. each tag prefixed with the word "mix". Either that, or I guess I could create a new sub folder for mixed albums, and browse to mixed albums via the music folder. Then I could have just a single new genre tag called "mix" or something... -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of MeSue Sent: 01 September 2005 19:08 To: discuss@lists.slimdevices.com Subject: [slim] Re: Music file question - how do you manage mixed albums? If you put all the mixes under one Genre, then you could just not use random mode when you play that Genre. -- MeSue Sue PS: I want a Squeezebox boombox. _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
