OK, I will do that. I am hanging on to my ReadyNAS as the ultimate big folder backup device (my lossless library is currently around 230 Gigs and I can backup FLAC as well as Apple Lossless to avoid yet another batch conversion). I might by unlucky with the fan in my ReadyNAS but I just wish it was not so noisy. The Mac mini was far quieter and could sit in our living room. And no, I am not a beginner. I thought the scenario was a better place to start from though.
