I like to dual source, and the ability to play music from SBS and mySB.com is something I always appreciated.
I have kept the (backup) Vista server at 7.3.3. But it's my high performance powersucking alien and I have not turned it on for SBS duty in weeks. I will keep it at 7.3.3 until I feel utterly grounded in 7.4. I mean, 7.4 is running fine now, it seems I ironed out all the wrinkles, and I really like the new Controller look (even though it seems the Receiver naps very hard at times and takes time to wake up in 7.4). I also like the new mySB.com a lot. The changes are wortwhile for me. I think a lot of the issues I have read about have been about preferences. Most configurable devices I have (wireless router and extender etc) have the ability to save the configuration to a file. It should not be so hard to add a "Save preferences to file" option to the settings menu in SBS. And I think it would solve some of these issues. Yes, yes - I know I can save settings folders. Incidentally that is easier in Linux than Windows, because in the latter it is a hidden system folder. -- pablolie ...pablo Server: Shuttle X27 - Ubuntu 9.04 - SBS 7.4 Sources: SB3 (3), SB Boom (3), Duet, Accuphase DP65v CD Amplifier: Accuphase E306v - Creek OBH21/22 Loudspeakers: Ceeroy 3-way tower (tuned) - Audioengine 5/S8 - Acoustic Energy Aego M Headphones: Grado SR-1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pablolie's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3816 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=69161 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
