Hi Again as you rightfully say it seems to be a process of elimination. well Ive tried the headphones and there seemed to be no distortion I tried another high quality interconnect via a digital connection and Ive also connected it to another input on my Linn preamp?
I am beginning to think perhaps it could be a faulty phono connector?
