>From my limited experience with 5 units, I would say there's a practical limit because 1 bad device can mess up the whole chain, and in the absence of looking at the logs there's no easy way to know which one it is. Synced streaming from the library is pretty bullet proof, the only problem I occasionally encounter is confusion in the display as to which song is playing. Syncing streams and podcasts, especially podcasts, slightly less so.
