I’ve recently moved from a Cable broadband ISP in the city to a
satellite-delivered ISP out in the country.

Not surprising, I’m having issues getting Internet Radio to stream, and
podcasts to run through the SB podcast player app. The most common
problem is when I request an Internet radio station or podcast, I get a
“Timed Out” message on my SB. I assume this is a result of the latency
in using satellite for internet (I'm assured by the ISP that I don't
have a bandwidth issue).

I was wondering if there were settings buried in SB Server that would
allow me to enlarge the window of time for an Internet radio service or
podcast to fill the buffer before SB gives up on it, based on
misinterpreting the stream as unavailable.

Also, in light of my unusual ISP circumstances, does it make sense to
go into Squeezebox Server and decouple SBS from mysqueezebox.com? My
thinking is that the interaction between the server and "the cloud" may
be adding to the problem.

Thanks.
