I'm new to the forum, so hope this is the right place to ask. I've installed Squeezebox Server 7.4.2 on my media PC (running XP SP3) in preparation for a Squeezebox Duet that I'll be getting next week. The PC is already set up for bitperfect playback, which I check by confirming that I can play a 5.1 DTS file (in WAV wrapper) correctly through my AV receiver using Foobar 2000.
I've tried both Squeezeslave 0.9-95 and Squeezeplay (from the 7.4 nightly downloads) as software players, and while Squeezeslave works fine with DTS playback as long as the volume control in the Web Interface is at Max, with Squeezeplay as the player I just get noise (volume controls in both Web Interface and Squeezeplay at Max). This would seem to indicate that the DTS file is being altered by Squeezeplay and is no longer bitperfect.
