I rename the binaries for the distribution files. What command(s) did you use to build the binary?
What do these commands display? ./squeezeslave -V ./Squeezeslave -L I've used squeezeslave successfully with VMWare Server, so I know it works, provided you've added the sound card device to the VM and enabled it.
