I switched to Mozilla Firefox as the browser to use with Slimserver and it no longer freezes.
Works perfectly. I downloaded Firefox, installe dit and ran it with the SLimServer link and no more freezes. Something with Internet Explorer verions and perhaps certain OS', patches and so on obviously have a conflict at times with Slimserver and adding more podcasts or RSS feeds. Hope this helps people. I have alerted the Slim Device technical support folks.
