Anyway - yes the Boom isn't discontiued. There will be just no new feature and all development (what about QA ?) efforts will go into the new devices. I'd call this the beginning of the end (of the Boom) ... they just need to push a Radio with two speakers and noone (except stubborn assimilated Squeezebox-Junkies from the first hours) would buy new Booms anyways ... I like rumours :D ! Of course all current Booms will go on working like even the oldest slimdevice-boxes v1 still do (though not with a Touch ... uhh ... did I say beginning of the end before :D ) Squeezeboxes are like Yucca's. Even if you don't water them they don't die. Maybe they get yellow leafes.
