Your Squeezebox keeps on playing ? Does it have a white connection icon when this is happening ? The more observations, the easier possible explanations :D... You could also activate the 'cometd'-logging on your server (see here: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showpost.php?p=564512&postcount=63).
