(Boom) hmmm - can't remember where I read it. Maybe was just a rumor? I figured it must be true b/c both the boom and classic are selling at hefty discounts.
Didn't realize about the VFD -- that makes sense. I'll never understand why the boom didn't take off. I think its been 1 year and half since I got mine. At that time it was featured in a variety of stores (J&R, Best Buy, Tiger Direct) then slowly disappeared.
