One of these Apps could be iPeng, that in the past had a very aggressive precaching of album art and menus. This will slow down your ReadyNas very very much. With iOS4 this also happens, when you don't see iPeng anymore, as it's continuing in the background. So before your next test, double Tap the home button of your iPad to see the other running Applications. Then do a long tap in this area and you will see a minus sign on each App. Kill every App from the background before proceeding with SqueezePad.
