First, it's generally good practice to use the real artist name for the Artist tag, rather than using "V/A". I mean, the collection of tracks -- whether from a compilation or simply your collection of singles -- may have various artists, but the track itself has a specific track artist(s).
For your current problem, check your settings via the SBS web ui. For your purposes, under *Settings > My Music > Filter genres at the album & track level* you should probably select *"Only show tracks or albums matching the selected genre for an artist"*.
