Linux ubuntu 2.6.35-22-server #33-Ubuntu SMP Sun Sep 19 20:48:58 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux ubuntu 10.10 amd64 (well intel but amd46 is the instruction set). I have used server as 1. it gives me more control as what modules are installed and 2. I don't plan to have a monitor attached to the server. I have tried this on both real hardware and on a vm both with the same results.
