This was one of the factors considered when they developed Touch and Radio . Much more flexible OS and cpu it can be made to support more codecs etc .
Old players is not very powerful and they are already 100% utilised no more room for anything . So it was clearly time for a new player for the future . Reciever and Boom is "SB2" in disguise tech from 2006 .
