I just added an enhancement request for this feature. The native Google Music player has music controls available in the notification area in Android 4.0. I don't know if it's possible to do that with SqueezeCommander (have the info for the currently playing track on the currently selected player) but it would be really cool instead of the static notification that SqueezeCommander is running.
