I just registered to Spotify and can reproduce the problem. Once the buffers have filled (for me they pretty fast go up to 99% / 97%) the effect goes away. So it looks like either the plugin or Spotify are dropping some frames. Looking into the Spotify Debug Log I see many error messages so will contact triode if he can give any insight.
