Yep my own ballpark figure is that the system can tolerate ~2000 files per Ghz of x86 CPU core . But beware of the shuffle function with very large playlist it can bog down the server . Problems seems exponential to the playlist size . Also it gets worse if the database is in bad shape , so to periodically perform full clear and rescans also helps this case . It is good that it has a limit I once encountered a bug that made the server try cue up every file in the dB , it stopped at my 4000 track limit :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96243 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
