I have a specific requirement - to run the PowerSwitchII plugin to control the power amps. So yesterday I snapped up an SB3 on eBay for 90 quid as a backup for my Transporter. If the TP ever dies, the SB3 will replace it, partnered with a suitable DAC that has balanced outputs. All of my so-called hi-res stuff is downsampled to 48kHz/24bit anyway, so I have no need for 96kHz capability.
