Just done a series of 'null' tests: SMS > iPeng iPad > Shairport4w Airport emulator > Sony Sound Forge (all on same PC).
Null tested against: iTunes > Sony Sound Forge. Result? Total cancelation. Which means, iPeng outputs bit-perfect audio through Airplay, AND Shairport4w is bit-perfect also.
