I am pretty sure it's not the iPhone but has something to do with your network. Either your server doesn't accept UDP broadcasts or doesn't reply to them properly. Something like that. My personal guess is that the reason is that your server's address is the same as your gateway address. You are not useing a VPN or something, right? No idea as to why the Squeezeboxes get it right, though, they should do the same thing. If you can open the server's web site in Safari, you should be fine in iPeng with the manual configuration, too. You said you get an empty dropdown box when you tap the "no player found" message in iPeng Party?
