Can it play local music ? 
Kind of sounds like it can play files from a iPhone/Android device or
from their central online Pure Music/Pure Connect streaming service.
If this is the case, there is a risk the supported audio formats are
more or less limited to lossy compression as that's what's typically
stored on an iPhone/Android device or streamed from online services.

I think you can forget about Spotify, Rhapsody, MOG and similar, Pure
have their own Pure Music service and is likely going to force users to
use that instead of making any existing competing streaming services
work with their products.

Other than that, a good sign is that they seem to have understood that
there is a need for both devices with built-in speakers and devices
which you connect to the existing HiFi equipment.
