I got the updated preview yesterday too. I like the larger album art on the tablet and the side pullout menus for the players and stuff. I also like the side swipe to get to the current playlist.
The release notes said that there will be some configurability with the tablet views, which will be nice. I was surprised because I really thought it was the end of the line with updates...which given the state of the squeezebox would have been understandable. Regarding the comments by Pipping about making money writing apps - I always wondered about that. It boggles my mind that you pay once for an app and get free updates forever. As a customer, it's great, but it must be hard for developers. It's pretty sad that the way to make money is to give it away for free and put ads in it.
