Hi erland, I didn't hear about any problems on Android TV boxes yet. I also do know that some users are using them, though I never asked for the name. The particular box you linked isn't available in Germany yet, but to give it a try I just ordered the following two for testing and will report back:

There are typically two thing one has to do on those TV-Boxes. - Installing some App to have SqueezePlayer started automatically (http://www.squeezeplayer.com/2013/05/start-squeezeplayer-on-startup/) - On the settings screen turing off the message, that SqueezePlayer loves to enable WiFi (as the TV-Boxes are sometimes wired via ethernet).
