The reason I'm asking is the learning curve, which is quite steep with
the options you mentioned. On top of that, good software to create the
filters needed also costs quite a hefty sum (340 for Acourate,
165-390 for AudioLense, both without measurement microphone, adding
another 80). There are probably others (REW springs to mind, it's free)
but from what I've seen so far, they're even less user friendly, needing
even more involvement and learning to obtain the desired result.
Frankly put: I don't have the time to spend on it. I'm quite willing to
take the time do perform some measurements, generate a filter and upload
it into a device, but I'd need the guesswork to be taken out as much as
possible, either through a well-developed piece of software or a
well-written guide ("DRC for dummies" ;)) for which I'd be willing to
pay.
