The pre-release version already has an option to use ondemand governor
(thanks to your question ;-). If you want to try it, read this:

Note that the dynamic CPU frequency changes could cause timing
inaccuracy and due to that probably even audio glitches. I haven't
experience such by myself but remember reading about them (don't
remember where).
