Thanks Pippin. The delays are in Wimp on SB, when starting tracks. It never happens in Qobuz, so not related to FLAC, same as the skipping problem. This means I'll stqy on GPM for now or maybe give Deezer another try. Eventually they might offer their "Elite" service in Europe...
