Wonder if there more than one issue ( since your reinstall) ? Have you done a xilnk reset on your Squeezboxes ? Or maybe a factory reset .

What kind of files are trying to play ? Try an MP3 and a flac file , with no strange settings in file types or fiddling with convert conf files (do not use the inguz plugin for example ) Do,your reinstall of LMS manage to do a complete scan of the library ? Did you do a clean reinstall ?
