As this question was sent via my support email as well, I totally forgot to duplicate my answer here:
iOS doesn't allow Apps to stay active in the background for an unlimited time (with the exception of Apps that are actively playing music). So the following rules apply for SqueezePad: - as long as you have started a song or a playlist, music will play in the background for an unlimited time (as much as is in the playlist at least) - when music is stopped, SqueezePad keeps an active connection to SqueezeBox server for about 4 minutes. This allows you to gracely do track changes. - when after 4 minutes no new music has been started again, SqueezePad will stop itself (and its connection to SqueezeBox server) before iOS forces SqueezePad to stop anyways.
