The last two posts miss the point. The debian package of LMS doesn't work with the Ubuntu installed version of perl. Thus one is forced to install a standalone installation of perl for LMS. The Standard instructions for this fail to provide all the required modules. Thus one is forced to compile the missing packages, including the secure socket layer for this bespoke version of perl apt would install this package for the *original *version of perl, which as has already been stated doesn't work, and is *not *fixed by adding this module. These kind of support miss-understandings would all go away of only the Debian package came with a working instance of perl, contained within the package. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bullgod's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9916 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108195 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
