This is an OS image that can run LMS and a squeezebox client on a raspberry pi, including managing the storage (external USB drive). There are other such images. This gives you server and client in one tiny low powered box. Or you can buy a pi and add the OS and install LMS yourself. It's a no brainer if you don't want to run another full size server.
