In many apps a develope key is usually embedded in the app and users never see it nor can change it. LMS plugins are unusual in that the plugin is in clear text and the key is easily read. Not sure about Radioplayer but a key per app implementation can cause problem as apps can be monitored through the developer key and if an app misbehaves (e.g. makes too many request per min) - all userrsof the key can get locked out until developer fix the app or time period expires - this doesn't fit well with LMS.
