I know this thread is over 2 years old, but I use PowerAmp on my phone. It has been updated to V3, requires at least Android 5. It does have both Folder Hierarchy and just Folder methods to view your library. For an android phone app I'm impressed with how much functionality PowerAmp has. It does its own DB so it's not restricted to what android allows/supports. Even stuff like multi-genre support in tags, both Artist and Album Artist main categories and gapless playback. The Library browse methods are much like LMS. Doesn't seem to have library size limits other than the amount of storage you've got. I've got 23,000+ tracks in 1,600+ albums on a 256GB SD card and it works great. The biggest difference is the management of how music is played. The default method is different than LMS, but it does have a queue method that is much more like LMS's way to manage what's playing. I just copied my full LMS library folder directly from my laptop to the SD card and put it in the phone, did a full scan with PowerAmp and it was done and even all my m3u playlists worked without changes being required (I have always had my playlists use relative folder methods and keep them in the root music folder even though that's not recommended here in the community)
I have no stake or affiliation with this app. Main system - Rock Solid with LMS 7.9.1 Official on WHS 2011 - 2 Duets and Squeeseslave Cabin system - Rock solid with LMS 7.9.1 Official on Win10 Pro - 1 RPi 3 Model B/Hifiberry DAC+ Pro/PiCorePlayer and Squeezeslave ------------------------------------------------------------------------ w3wilkes's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=22973 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106240 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
