Sorry, I was probably polluting this thread with a general comment rather than offering an immediate solution. My point was that it is not a major task to modify the code of the various html skins to allow playback through the audio element if a developer wished to do this. Whether they think it's a good idea and/or want to do it is of course, an other issue.
