I've had similar good luck with homeplugs for several years. At my weekend cabin, I have a 3 homeplugs in use. One is connected near main router/modem. 2nd is connected to a router in use as a switch only (not assigning IP addresses). To this switch/router, I've attached a vortexbox server running LMS and holding my music files and a TOUCH. the 3rd homeplug is connected to a BOOM in my bedroom. The wiring in this house is about 17 years old, and the 3 homeplugs are probably no more than 15 feet away from each other (house is very small).
