So it's something with fontcache.xxx or stringcache.xxx. When I erase them, it's fine for "some time"
Oh, I think I know what this could be (though it's surprising nobody would have reported this): on the old displays the plugin tries to display a symbol indicating whether a podcast has been played/partly played/not played. Now if you're controlling such a player there might be some side-effect on the web UI. See line 125 in Slim::Plugin::Podcast::Parser. Would the effect go away if you disabled that line?
