Mark, I've changed ALL the cables - no difference. The router is a Linksys WAG54GS (brand new). The SB connects fine and works (sort of) but the buffer never fills up so I get lots of dropouts. This is very mystifying as the 10/100 switch ports on the router shouldn't go anywhere near the rest of the router...
I've tried turning of the firewall, wireless and disconnecting the ADSL but that made no difference.
