The drop-down gives two choices: /tmp/images / /proc /sys /dev/pts [& several others] I do see the write-permission message. I saved the backup file to /tmp/images, logged into the RPi4 from my smartphone and downloaded the file, and transferred it to my desktop PC. I then used etcher to write the image to a 16gb card. That took 30 minutes.
