I know about periodical dates but you didn't say it was a periodical date. You didn't say, for example, "from the December issue", you wrote an exact date. It looked to me like a date on which the quote was said. I assumed you meant November and wrote December, or meant 2004 and wrote 2005 or something similar. Then people would be looking for the quote in the wrong place.
