Hi, Here are two common scenarios: 1) Browse artist, select an artist, and all albums are displayed. This takes no time at all.
2) Browse genre, select an artist, and all albums are displayed. This takes ages! I have 371 albums (5144 songs) on a W2K laptop (300 MHz, 192 MB RAM), Slimserver 6.1.1. To me, this seems to be a fairly trivial indexing problem. (It has nothing to do with the setting for "Filter genres at the album & track level" which I thought initially.) Does Slimserver use a SQL database? Do you have any suggestions on how to avoid this problem?
