Hi Mark The squeezebox is in the next door room to the pc running slimserver.
The SB would see the SSID but would not connect - only when the slimserver pc was switched off would the SB connect. Haven't tried connecting to the SqueezeNetwork yet... I agree that this is pretty bizarre, I'm just pleased it's all working now!
