I'm not quite clear from what you say above whether you can in fact connect to Slimserver by using http://192.168.0.101:9000 or similar (so it's just the localhost address that doesn't work) or whether you can't connect at all ? If the former, is there a particular reason you want to use the localhost address rather than the IP one ? Localhost doesn't work on my PC because of the way I have my network security set up, so I just use the fixed IP address of the PC. And in answer to your other question, personally I'm a big fan of static IP's - makes it easier to tell what's trying to do what on the network ! But you shouldn't need to have one. Sorry if I've misunderstood your problem. -- Siduhe ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Siduhe's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=723 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=20013 _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
