I started off running the Slimserver on a Mac Mini running OS-X 10.4 with 1GB RAM. The server would stop and hiccup everytime I did something CPU intensive like a big file copy or a compile. I finally got fed up and moved the slimserver to an unused old Windows box. Works fine now.
