I have had the same exact problems for about a week plus another. I have a flawless wireless system for laptops but slimbox freezes.
The additional problem: mine has a power transformer that seems to be arcing. The entire electrical circuit carries the cracking and popping to other electrical devices (radios) on the same circuit when slimdevice is plugged in. Some worry here about a fire danger.
