Sorry, I should have read a bit further; it sounds like you've done this already and have a URL that's playable via the command line, though (for whatever reason) not yet by the firmware-based WMA decoder in the SB2/SB3. (I'm assuming the reason it works for Softsqueeze is that Softsqueeze doesn't advertise itself as being able to decode WMA streams directly, so the server decodes via wmadec [I think] and reencodes into
either a FLAC or an MP3 stream for Softsqueeze to play.) Yeah. The stream plays fine when I paste the URL into Window's Media Player. Over in the developer forum I posted some debug output that may be useful. This post is at http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=20814 I don't have much experience with how SlimServer handles audio streams so I'm not sure what to do next. From the debugging out put it almost looks as if SlimServer gets the stream, looks at it, decides that the hardware decoder can play it, and then passes the URL over to the player to play. The hardware player then seems to get nothing back. Am I reading the log correctly? If so, could it be that the URL is only playable once, and since the server reads from it first before sending it to the player that it can't be read again? -Greg -- GoCubs ------------------------------------------------------------------------ GoCubs's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=312 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=20621 _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
