I have that non-unicode settings set for Russian in my Windows regional settins. Like I mentioned before, Windows "sees" those tags with no problem in my Music library. I will definately try that version of SlimServer and let you know.
Ok, thanks. Just for clarification (and my sanity), you don't have the first tab - "Regional Options" -> "Standards and Formats" set to Russian, do you?
